This lecture is sponsored by the Susan B. Meister Child Health Evaluation and Research Center (CHEAR)—within the Department of Pediatrics—and the CHEAR Faculty Executive Representatives—a collaborative of the Institute for Social Research and the Schools of Business, Dentistry, Education, Engineering, Kinesiology, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Public Policy, and Social Work. Each year, CHEAR hosts the Susan B. Meister Lecture in Child Health Policy that highlights speakers from a variety of disciplines to explore important child health topics.

Call for Posters
The poster session will showcase research from CHEAR and our partner schools and colleges, with a particular emphasis on student and trainee projects. Selected posters will be presented from 5:30-6:30pm during the reception immediately following the lecture. We ask that faculty mentors encourage their students or trainees to submit posters as this a wonderful opportunity to discuss their projects and research goals with a broad audience.
Eligibility
Submissions must be made by a current University of Michigan faculty, student, trainee, or staff affiliated with CHEAR or a CHEAR partner school or college. Posters that are accepted for presentation or were previously presented at another conference are eligible.
Submission Timeline
Posters should be submitted via the Google Form linked below. Please submit one form per poster if submitting more than one.
- January 16, 2025: Call for posters open
- February 28, 2025: Submissions due
- First week of March: Notification of accepted posters
- April 2, 2025: Poster will be presented at the 17th Annual Susan B. Meister Lecture
Poster Requirements
All posters will be required to be no larger than 4 ft x 3 ft.
Submitters/Presenters are responsible for printing their posters. Submitters/Presenters should also plan to have at least one representative at the lecture to field questions and speak on their topic.
