Background:
Postoperative opioid exposure poses significant risks in children. Variation in prescribing practices was common.
Objectives:
- Reduce postoperative opioid utilization
- Engage families in pain assessment
- Develop multidisciplinary prescribing guidelines

Implications:
Led to reduced opioid exposure and informed institutional pain management standards.
